NettetGreat idea. Bought short for a 1990’s 686. Fit is very sloppy and moves a lot. Granted, the standard release also has some play, and the release itself does. Measured the machined features, and the Houge is made to correct dimensions. I feel that this Houge release creates a lever effect, and makes the motion rotational and no longer linear.

Went back to stock, new style S&W thumbpiece. OK, that is PURELY a matter of not bothering to install it correctly.
