The L series cam timing is dependant on the valve lash. Changing the lash .001 will in effect change the duration of the cam by approximetly 5 degrees. WebAug 27, 2010 · To check/ adjust valve clearances, just turn the flywheel clockwise until the cam mark aligns with one of the numbers on the cam. That is the number cylinder where you check the valve clearances. 1 for #1 cylinder, 2 for #2 cylinder etc. The intake should be 0.18 - 0.22mm The exhaust should be 0.25 -0.30 mm.
