Drive east on the Burr Trail from Boulder. WebSet up camp in a nice little side canyon near Brimhall Arch. The next morning I got up with the first glow of dawn, wolfed a quick breakfast, and hit the trail at high speed. I did the approximately 8 miles from camp to the start of the narrows before the sun came up over the canyon wall - that part was a nice comfortable hike.

So I turned back but really enjoyed the time exploring inside the Waterpocket Fold. There are dozens of similar slot canyons in the fold.
